Rides4Fun plans great street and adventure rides across the Eastern United States, plus off-the bike experiences, so you don't have to. Join us at one or several of our Weekend Getaways / AMA Gypsy Tours, sponsored by BMW MOA. Motorcyclists of all brands are welcome, and no membership is required to attend our events.
All event locations are at state parks/resorts and offer a wide variety of lodging options from tent camping to resort lodge rooms. Once you're off of your bike for the day, there's plenty of amenities within walking distance to enjoy.
In addition to the five street routes and one adventure route option from Rides4Fun, event supporter Backroads of Appalachia offers guests additional route programming in the region.
Routes are designed to allow you to make a selection depending on your personal schedule and desire. Routes can only be accessed during the event.

D-Day Memorial Park allows guests the opportunity to sample 93 miles of great riding and take in the patriotic heritage that the Blue Ridge Mountain region offers. For 2026, the memorial will be celebrating its 25th anniversary. Guests will have the opportunity to learn about the history of how the memorial came to be built and was self-funded. When hunger starts to set in, consider visiting Soul Sister & Brothers Kitchen at 117 Moneta Rd (what the locals say is the best southern comfort food available).
Roanoke Star Park is a 73-mile route that gives guests a glimpse of the Mill Mountain Star that overlooks the city of Roanoke, just off the Blue Ridge Parkway. The Roanoke Star was built in 1949 as Christmas decoration and became a permanent symbol of the “Star City of the South.” It stands nearly 90 ft tall and uses over 2,000 ft of neon. It can be seen as far as 60 miles away. The town of Roanoke offers plenty to explore, as well as some great lunch options. If you have a sweet tooth, try Blue Cow Ice Cream.
Great Mountain Views will have guests relishing in part of America’s favorite 469-mile drive (the Blue Ridge Parkway). Constructed in 1935 as part of “The New Deal” to help put people back to work, the 130-mile route takes guests through historic Lexington, Virginia, with plenty of great lunch stops to choose from.
Take in 82 miles of enjoyment and explore Natural Bridge State Park that features a 200 ft tall natural bridge of limestone carved out by the rushing waters of Cedar Creek over centuries. While exploring, stop by the visitor center under the bridge to enjoy Lace Falls 50-ft-plus cascade or get a fresh made sandwich from the Natural Bridge Country Store.
Buena Vista / James River provides 115 miles of one scenic vista after another along the historic James River. Bask in mountain scenery, river falls and rolling valleys. There are plenty of great lunch stops and history to explore while visiting Buena Vista (or BV as the locals call it), as this was a booming town in the 1800s and one of the fastest growing in the Shenandoah Valley. Today BV is focused on outdoor recreation and the home of Southern Virginia University.
